Controlling Your Hunger - Part 1
Whether you are a born Vampire, or a trained Psi Vampire, the hunger in you will forever be something you will fight. A lot of it is purely mental, but a large portion of it is a physical need of life-force energy, due to the inability to produce it naturally.
Learning to see the warning signs of energy withdrawal coming can make controlling the inner beast inside easier. Every Vampire has a predatory side in them; the longer it has been since you last fed the more that side of you starts to take over as the need for energy grows. If you cannot learn to control this aspect of yourself you can wind up hurting yourself or someone. Follow these steps for recognizing and controlling your hunger to keep “the beast” at bay.
The hunger manifests itself in many different forms and is different for everyone. Most of the common symptoms the hunger produces are extreme anxiety, body aches, unquenchable thirst, easily irritable and severe head-aches. These are but a few of the more well-known side effects; some Vampires will get very strange and bizarre hunger effects. Every Vampire and their body handles the symptoms of energy withdrawal differently - whether it be pure emotion energy or from blood.
Once the steps have been taken by observing intently your hunger symptoms always keep a close eye on them. If you begin to feel that the effects of hunger are starting to overwhelm you immediately try to feed. For Sanguine Vampires though this can sometimes prove to be difficult. If it is impossible for you to feed then follow these steps to controlling yourself and keeping yourself from going into a full blown frenzy.
