Controlling Your Hunger - Part 2
First of all the most effective and quickest way to control your hunger is to isolate yourself; the less people around you, posing as potential prey and therefore driving you mad, the better. Next control your breathing. Concentrate on nothing else but your breathing to slow it and your heart rate down. Drinking water will help immensely as well. If you can isolate yourself and bring your heart rate down at least for a while you should be okay but its best to try and feed as soon as you can. It is never a bad idea to have a close friend who knows what you require and can provide you with whatever you need.
For a Psi Vampire controlling hunger sounds easy enough as they can feed discreetly from just about anyone, anywhere. True, but controlling their hunger is not so much from the lack of feeding but more so keeping from taking too much from someone. Taking more than you need from crowds, even though it does not harm them, can result in getting yourself used to taking mass amounts of energy; so the day comes that you feed from a single individual, you have a harder time pulling yourself away, and possibly harming them. It is best to know how much you need from each feeding and not take any more than you need - no matter what. It will just make controlling your beast a lot easier.
If the occasion arises that you begin to not be able to control how much you are taking be sure to let your donor know when they start to feel too drained they stop you. If it takes physical restraint to keep you from over feeding and harming them you need dire help from others of our kind. The best method to keep from over feeding and harming anyone is always take only what you need. Always feed regularly so you are not taking such a large amount at any one time; for Psi Vampires crowd feed as often as possible when you only need just a little.
By taking these steps controlling your hunger should be easy enough; though if you begin to have troubles never hesitate to talk to others of our kind - they are almost always willing to help. The less “Vamped out” Vampires around going frenzy on their prey the better.- so never hesitate to ask for help. Always remember… never take more than you need.
