Grounding Yourself
This grounding technique is used to essentially gather up all your scattered energy and pulling it back to your center.
Step 1: Let yourself relax and breathe deeply.
Step 2: Start to focus on the parts of you that are most like you - mentally, personality wise and physically. Just concentrate on what makes you, you. After focusing on this for some time you should feel more confident and aware of yourself.
Both grounding and shielding abilities are required before you are capable of building a proper shield. If you have no base to work from your shield is utterly worthless. Practice these techniques several times a day before moving on to shielding.
