Magick for most people is a very touchy subject. Mainly for the way it is thought of in every typical person's mind - usually obscure dungeons and dragon spells or stage magic; neither of which are what is actually done. Most typical people would be shocked to know that any martial art, including yoga and tai chi, are fundamental aspects of magick or meta-physics.
Magick is primarily used by Witches and Sorcerers as their tool of trade but has a limitless amount of uses for Vampires as well; mainly for Psi Vampires although Sanguines can use any of these techniques. Most of the use lies only for Psi Vampires. Considering most Psi Vampires are turned magicians and just about any born Psi Vampire is extremely adept at energy manipulation and other magickal techniques. One of the main uses of magick for a Psi Vampire is psychic shielding and grounding techniques. Most Psi Vampires, empathy feeders especially, feed from emotions running freely from someone. Because they can sense and pull their prey's emotions easily their own can be fed upon by other entities quite easily as well. Since most humans who have some sort of “super natural ability” like Vampires, Witches and such like attract the attention of astral spirits and other beings that can easily attack and/or feed from you. Learning to shield your energy from others, both average and spiritual, is a must. Grounding is another tool used a lot to keep all those rampant emotions and energies swarming through you to not cloud your mind.
Other uses of magick are almost limitless. Focus tools, protection, luck, inspiration and of course as weapons. One huge aspect of magick that is an invaluable tool for any Vampire to learn is lucid dreaming and astral projection. With this ability comes many, many uses; such as mental training, feeding as you sleep and self-discovery. This ability takes a lot of practice to be able to use effectively. The work and time is well worthwhile.
