Vampire Communities
A simple search on the internet can lead you to many sites of Vampire and witchcraft covens and forums. The larger ones are The Vampire Church, Bloodlines, and the Sanguinarium.
Most of the Vampire community interacts through these forums and other sites. Vampires being the seclusive, night living people we are make it difficult to meet others like us in a “normal” environment. Though in larger cities it is not too difficult to find several covens of Vampires and occult practitioners who meet to practice their craft, feed, and interact with others of our kind.
A question often raised by many would be Vampires, and non-Vampire alike, is “do you have to dress and act like a Vampire?”
The answer is no. You don’t have to by any means look the part at all to have the abilities and needs of a Vampire. Though you don’t have to, most Vampires put on the look and role of a Vampire to enhance the “feel” of what they are and do. A Psi Vampire who likes to feed off the fear emotion will certainly gain more out of it looking like a Vampire. Most Vampires who dress and act the part do so to keep the “mystique” of the Vampire community.
There are many different ways to feel and look the part other than wearing fangs (though some of us have naturally long fangs). Many dress in old-world style clothing and dresses. Others wear what would be considered a Gothic clothing feel with trench coats, trip pants and makeup. Most though just tend to stick to neutral colors and an old world feel to their clothing and style. Going too outrageous though is discouraged; there is no need to draw unneeded attention to ourselves.
Just always remember to dress, act, and be who you yourself are most comfortable with; in the end that is all that really matters. Clothing and an exterior mystique is not what makes the Vampire in the first place.
Once you start interacting with and talking to others of our kind either online or through a coven, and start to feel more comfortable with yourself and your new found abilities, things will just start to come naturally; you will start to act more naturally with a better feel for your new self.
Keep the tenets of the Black Veil in mind, and the advice given, and always treat other Vampires and humans alike with a common respect; in doing so you will gain the respect of the Vampire community.
