For a community of Vampires to exist in a modern law-governed society there has to be at least some guidelines to follow.
There exists a tenet written by the heads of several Vampire communities called the Black Veil. The Black Veil has 7 guidelines to follow; none of which are really enforced to any extent for there being no real way to enforce them anyway.
The latest version of the Black Veil was written in 2003 by the Vampire Church, Bloodlines, the Sanguinarium and individuals from many other independent organizations.
