Another supernatural group of people are known as “other-kin”; they are humans with what is believed to be an animal spirit sharing the same body with them. This can be any animal and can show itself in many different ways. They are the closest thing you can get to a werewolf or any other type of shape shifter. Most tend to have a fairly predator-like nature about them which can make it easy for Vampires to understand and get along with them. It is ill-advised to feed from them; especially for a soul Vampire who would rather not share an animal desire in them.
Though not all the answers are out there, and never will be, some of the night’s mysteries have been revealed a little for you in the hopes that you are reading this as one of us - or intending to be. Though this is just but a taste there are plenty of sources to find any information - contacting another one of our kind is never, ever a bad idea. We are always willing to help others in their first few steps or even answer a few simple questions.
All in all though it is the purpose of this book to get you on your feet and point you in the right direction; armed with some knowledge on our history and culture, our rules, how to feed and how to protect yourself. Now it is time for you to go out and feed, to go out and meet others of our kind, and better your life with the knowledge of what you truly are.
